Subject: United Nations ECOSOC 2008-2011 Quadrennial Report

Dear NGO representative:

We would require your attention to an important matter related to your consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Under ECOSOC Resolution 1996/31, NGOs with general or special consultative status must submit to the Committee on NGOs, every four years, a brief report of their activities in support of the work of the United Nations. In ECOSOC decision 2008/4, it was decided that failure to timely submit this quadrennial report will lead to suspension or withdrawal of status.

Your organisation’s report on activities undertaken during the years 2008-2011 is now due for submission. The report must be submitted in one of the United Nations working languages, English or French.

Guidelines on how to submit the report can be found on the following address:http://csonet.org/

The completed quadrennial report, which should be brief and contain not more than 700 words, must be submitted through our online database. You can start the process by logging in from the following page: http://esango.un.org/

Due to the high number of required reports every year, we can only accept quadrennial reports submitted through the online database. Reports sent by email or by postal mail cannot be accepted.

To avoid possible loss of your consultative status, your 2008-2011 report should be received by us before 1 June 2012.

Your prompt action to this communication is much appreciated. You can find an official version of this notification on the following URL: http://csonet.org/

Yours sincerely,

Andrei Abramov
Chief
DESA NGO Branch
