Geographical Layers Of Sustainability - GLOS
(A WSF invention)

To the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals, and related parties.

Potencial: By appointing and qualifying Geographical Layers Of Sustainability - GLOS - the management and control of areas, as well as modeling and reinforcing of sustainability simplifies:

Making sustainability, wealth/poverty, health, inequalities, and employment manageable and creatable.

This also simplifies the consultations and negotiations of those goals.

Layers:
1. Location
2. Governance
3. Law
4. Resources
5. Population and Creative Potential
6. Sustainability
7. Sustainability Plan, Feasibility and Monitor
8. Implementation and Management
9. Risk, Disaster Avoidance, and Disaster Emergency

(4. Resources: Climate, Vegetations, Raw materials, Technology, and Created Possession.)

Recognition of the role of the layers in the Sustainability Issues enables its solution: by optimizing them and deploy.

Context: The difficult development of sustainability of past forty years and the ten SDG defined by prof. Jeffry D. Sachs.

Futher work out

The Layers are geographical build ups for Earth to Sustainable wealth (Have on and on, Heaven on Earth):

8. Implementation and Management
7. Sustainability Plan, Feasibility and Monitor
6. Sustainability
5. Population and Creative Potential
4. Resources
3. Law
2. Governance
1. Location

Sustainable wealth can there from be seen as have on and on, Heaven on Earth.

5. Population and Creative Potential are basically the behavior and quantity components invluencing, disturbing or/and realizing sustainability.

Because all is connected, S4all is near the same as S41. So 14S (you) has to become All4S otherwise it can't be done.

4. Resources are partly pre-defined (the deeper earth), partly developable (soil and streams), and completely developable (housing and reserve banking). At the UNFCCC over 200 CDM's are difined and over 5.000 project samples are given.

3. Law can be seen as an instrument for Sustainability. At SHR ten additional Human Rights are proposed to trive sustainability and wealth. On local level people and governance has to become more thankfull and recognize the tenderness and helplessness of poor and unabled by supporting lawly on respectfull rights.

2. Governance 4allS: G4S

1. Location seams to be a fix ellement, but adding Climate and Populations layers to it, it becomes clear that we are at present highly confronted with "The History of Human Evolution", population quantum unequality per location, Emission (pollution) unequality, and Emission Impact unequality (Coral Reef, poor people without emission protection means).

6.There for we need a mondial (U.N. MG and Member States) accepted measurable definiton of Sustainability (Wiki).

7. Sustainability Plan, Feasibility and Monitor relate to the UNFCCC Durban Dec. 9th, 2011 Agreed Conclusion of the Conference and Members (Founding day of WSF):

"In the UNFCCC in Durban, it was decided that all contributing countries will make a description of nationally appropriate mitigation actions and seeking international support, with the:

(a) Mitigation actions to realize a sustainable future;
(b) Including contact information;
(c) Expected timeframe for the implementation;

(d) Estimated full costs;
(e) Amount and type of support (financial, technological and capacity building);
(f) Estimated emission reductions.

See for complete list page 10, par. 46 of the Agreed Conclusion

Also the Kyoto protocol, Doha, and Warsaw COP19 support this. It will take time to have all of this (at the right Sustainability Target) clear on paper. If the "World We Want" compares with "The World We Need" we will Surfive and Trive!

8. Implementation and Management is about good house keeping and mutual aid. Capacity building, local delivery of resourses, and balanced time and means spanding are key to success.

9. Risk, Disaster Avoidance, and Disaster Emergency has to part of the strategy. Facing the state of the disasters we have to anticipate, plan, and act proactive as well as reactive to minimize the impacts on all levels.

Conclusion
GLOS - Geographical Layers Of Sustainability - as thinking and acting model has the potential to have High Level impact on reaching the sustainability targets. Embraced by the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals and related parties Geographical Layers Of Sustainability, in short GLOS, can make the needed difference.
